This is similar to cantonese zhongzi. But they use bamboo leaves instead of banana leaves. They put mung bean differently.

Having parents of Chinese descent, born in Vietnam have me growing up eating the Chinese version zongzi during Dragon Boat and then a Vietnamese version (Banh U) during new year. Haha, I feel so lucky! Thank you Helen, its a wonderful recipe. My mom would use pandan leaves to make the rice a little green and would add a couple of cashew nuts too and its really good! Happy new year 🙂

Not sure if you're aware of this, but the last couple of videos have had a kind of humming sound every time you speak (it's noticeable since it stops every time you pause). You might need to tweak your mic settings.
